Connecting With God
"Chris Adsit's discipling
materials are the best, most user-friendly I've seen. The 'Connecting With God' workbook
has been an invaluable tool for the Military Ministry as we seek to 'Reach the World
through the Military of the World.' We have sent it to chaplains and our key active duty
volunteers located at bases around the U.S. and the world, including to those deployed in
support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom in Afghanistan, Kuwait,
Iraq and other Middle East locations. There they have used 'Connecting With God' to begin
the discipling process with the hundreds of U.S. servicemen & women who have made
decisions for Christ during the deployment.
"To give just one example, shortly before the war started I
received a call on our toll-free number from a young Marine sergeant in Kuwait who
informed me that, 'Several of the guys in my company accepted Christ through the spiritual
Rapid Deployment Kits (camouflage covered Bibles and evangelistic tracts) you folks
(Military Ministry) sent us, ... I'm one of the few Christians in the outfit and I need
your help to disciple them!' I mailed the sergeant 'Connecting With God' and it was just
what he needed... he reported that the Marines he was leading looked forward to their time
together studying God's Word and were steadily growing in the Lord. We have seen
'Connecting With God' used effectively in both one-on-one and small group settings. I
wholeheartedly recommend that this should be included in everyone's ministry
toolbox!"
~ Col. Chuck Macri, USAFR, National Director, Campus Crusade for
Christ Military Ministry, May, 2003
"I like the format along with
the commentary. The presentation of truth is packaged in a catchy, fun style while
plumbing the depths of Scripture at the same time. The material is not boring! It
thoroughly covers the basics of the Christian faith, equipping the student to begin
her/his walk of faith in Christ. The teacher aids are very helpful. A very user friendly
tool in the hands of any believer desiring to help another believer grow.
"When one of my 'mentees' has completed the book, I have a
confidence that she is on her way with a foundation that will keep her steady if she
applies it when her Christian walk becomes difficult.
"Connecting with God is ideal for one on one discipleship as well
as in a small group. [It] seems to attract varying levels of intellect and education and
holds individuals interest to the end. Connecting with God can be used with anyone at
anytime in their Christian walk. Many Christians find it fills the holes they missed in
their beginning years and wish they had known these truths much sooner."
"I am using Connecting God with my Women's Ministries Team to
train them in discipling others. I'm finding even older, mature believers still feel a
sense of inadequacy regarding discipling another one on one or in a small group.
Connecting with God is a wonderful tool to give older believers a godly confidence that
they can do it."

Disciplemaking
"This is the most comprehensive, practical,
Biblical approach to one-on-one disciplemaking I've seen to date. If the student will
faithfully apply the principles contained in these videos, he or she will become an
effective disciplemaker."
~ Dr. Howard G. Hendricks - Distinguished Professor and Chairman of the Center
for Christian Leadership, Dallas Theological Seminary
"This video training series from Disciplemakers
International will help you be equipped for a wonderful ministry in the lives of others.
It will lay the foundation for a life of much greater effectiveness for God."
~ Steve Douglass - Executive Vice President, Campus Crusade for Christ, Int'l
"Chris Adsit has produced a valuable tool for
training in discipling. I have known him and his discipling heart since his student days
in our Navigator ministries. This video series will provide the 'how-to's' of the
discipling process."
~ Jerry E. White, Ph.D. - President, The Navigators
"America houses the largest spiritual nursery we
have ever seen in history. We desperately need to move Christians on from infancy into the
infantry. Chris Adsit's system of training disciplemakers provides an excellent,
objective, transferable means by which this can be accomplished. I enthusiastically
recommend it!"
~ Earl D. Radmacher, Th.D. - President Emeritus, Western Seminary
"Our leadership here at our church is excited about
the method of disciplemaking that we are learning from Chris Adsit. We like the assessment
tools and the fact that the system is ready to use. There is no need to scramble for more
curriculum or try to reinvent a new method. Everything we need is provided. Our people are
eager to learn through this series. The quality and content are just what we need to move
our people forward as authentic disciples for the Lord. I can highly recommend the system
and goals of this project if your church is serious about making real disciples who live
for Christ."
~ Dr. David J. Mitchell, Senior Pastor, Calvary Church of Santa Ana (California)
